New Episode of The She Leads Podcast: The fundraising playbook they never taught us

Hi Reader

For those of you who may not know, we have a podcast -
The She Leads Podcast: Wealth Building & Business Growth, with Adrienne Garland. Our show comes out weekly on Fridays, and we're now on our 205th episode.

I'm so proud of the quality of the show, and the important conversations that are happening week to week. It's mainly an interview style podcast, but from time to time I'll throw in a solo-episode. If you haven't listened, I greatly encourage you to do so - we have interviewed so many incredible, powerful, influential women such as the co-founder of Chief, the head of the Pittsburgh International Airport, a celebrity interior designer, a Hollywood producer, the head of Elevest, and numerous women founders and leaders. Each conversation is dynamic and insightful and I make sure to ask the questions that I know you'll want to hear the answers to!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the podcast, what topics you'd like me to dive into, and who you're interested in hearing from next. Don't be shy about replying to this email and sharing your thoughts.

Now, on to this past Friday's episode topic....
Women overall receive just 2.3% of venture capital funding today, down from 2.4% in 1996. Capital is critical to a company's growth, hiring and investing in what's needed to grow to $1 million and beyond.

Nearly 30 years later, despite awareness campaigns, women-focused funds, women launching businesses at a greater rate than men, women delivering results that outperform men's performance across all metrics, the women receiving venture capital funding has barely budged. Pathetic. I read a stat that at this pace, women won't gain VC funding parity until 2065. Again, pathetic.

On this week's episode, I have a sweeping conversation with Anna Mazarsky, founder of PinkX PowerCore, about why things haven't changed, and what it actually takes for women founders to raise, scale, and compete in today’s system.

Spoiler alert: Today's system is BROKEN, and we must take action to create our own funding ecosystem that is just and unbiased.

"All of the pattern matching and all of the current advice out there is for men, and the women that do succeed are the outliers."
Anna Mazarsky, PinkX PowerCore

On this week's episode of the She Leads Podcast, my guest and I explore why the Venture Capital funding gap for women has barely changed in nearly three decades, and what is really happening behind the numbers.

Anna Mazarsky founder of PinkX PowerCore outlines how the system evaluates founders, how bias shows up in fundraising conversations, and why many women are still underfunded despite strong businesses and ideas. We also gets into what needs to shift in how women approach capital to scale in today’s environment.

If this episode, or any of our episodes resonated with you, I'd like to ask that you please take a moment to give a quick rating and/or review on Apple or Spotify.

This simple, free action helps the podcast to reach more women building

and leading businesses around the world.

Thank you in advance!
